The official surveillance audit confirms the .cy Registry’s ongoing commitment to top-tier security for critical infrastructure and user data.
Following last year’s successful upgrade and certification to the enhanced international standard ISO/IEC 27001:2022, the Registry .cy is proud to announce the successful completion of its annual re-evaluation process (Surveillance Audit) on May 22, 2026.
According to the official feedback from the independent Auditors, the assessment concluded with outstanding results, demonstrating zero non-conformities. This achievement validates that our Information Security Management System (ISMS) is not only fully operational and strictly maintained but is also continuously evolving to mitigate modern cybersecurity risks.
The re-evaluation focused closely on the efficient, secure, and uninterrupted operation of our DNS (Domain Name System) services and the critical infrastructure supported by the Registry, safeguarding the three fundamental pillars of information security:
- Confidentiality: Ensuring that data is accessible solely to authorized individuals.
- Integrity: Maintaining the absolute accuracy and consistency of all domain name information.
- Availability: Guaranteeing that our digital services remain robust and accessible 24/7 for our users and the Cypriot market.
For the Registry .cy, information security is not just a milestone or a static certification; it is a daily, dynamic practice of continuous improvement, proactive risk management, and full regulatory compliance.
