The ".cy Registry" announces that DNSSEC service will be available for use by the public, as from Thursday July 1st, 2020.
DNSSEC is a security mechanism that is used to provide integrity and to verify the correctness of DNS server responses.
Interested parties will be able to activate the DNSSEC service, through our System at www.nic.cy, for the following domain extensions:
- .cy
- .ac.cy
- .com.cy
- .org.cy
For DNSSEC service activation, the DS Records will need to be specified. The DS Records information is provided by the DNS Service Provider (hosting provider) given that the DNS Service provider also supports the DNSSEC service.
Please note that the DNSSEC service is optional.
